How to Get Free Robux

In this post, I will give you the best ways to get free Robux. If you aren’t familiar with it, Robux is the currency for the online game called Roblox.

Roblox is an online creation platform. The closest comparison is probably Minecraft. Presumably, the “blox” part of its name comes from the fact that it has sort of a blocky feel to it.

The characters in the game look similar to LEGO people. You can play the game in a web browser or in iOS and Android.

The graphics are intentionally crude, which means the game won’t be too demanding on the device or machine you use to play it.

I want to focus on legitimate ways as there are many sites out there that promise free Robux but are actually a scam.

What Are Robux?

I mentioned at the beginning of the post that Robux are the in-game currency for Roblox. According to Roblox’s website, you can use Robux to “purchase upgrades for your avatar or buy special abilities in games.”

You can either buy Roblox directly or get them via one of the methods we’ll discuss shortly.

There is also Roblox Premium, which is a subscription that supplies you with a set amount of Roblox every month. One of the biggest benefits of Roblox Premium is you get more Roblox for the same amount of money as you would for a one-time purchase of Robux.

Robux Gift Cards

One of the legitimate ways to get free Robux is to buy Roblox gift cards. The following major retailers sell Roblox gift cards:

  • Amazon
  • GameStop
  • Walmart
  • Newegg
  • Costco

Now, I know what you’re thinking – but it’s not free if I have to buy it! While that is true, there are ways to get some of these gift cards for free.

For example, if you take online surveys, many of them have Amazon gift cards as a payout option.

And guess what? That isn’t even the full extent of your options.

For example, you can get Robux with iTunes gift cards, Google Play gift cards, or Xbox gift cards.

As you can see, there are plenty of ways to get free Robux via gift cards. They might require you to put in some effort, but it does work and is completely legitimate.

Discount Sites

Another way to potentially find some cheaper Robux is through discount sites. No, this isn’t exactly free, but if you do end up buying them with real money, these discount sites will let you spend a bit less.

Now, you probably won’t find discounts on Robux itself. Instead, what you want to look for is discounts on the stores above that sell Robux gift cards.

As a result, you’ll be able to buy Robux at a discount. Discount sites, also known as coupon sites or coupon code sites, usually have a 1-10% discount. However, you’ll occasionally find discounts even higher.

Some sites and apps that offer discounts at places that sell Roblox gift cards include:

Honey and Drop are “catch-all” discount apps that offer you a flat rate for retailers across the board. Getting discounted gift cards this way is easier because coupons are usually for specific items, and you won’t often find gift card coupons.

Robux as Rewards

Although there are lots of ways to get Robux with gift cards, that isn’t the only way to get them for free. Another option is to join a rewards site that has Robux as an option.

Technically, this option is similar to the first one as you will still end up having to complete surveys and other offers.

The biggest difference is that if you do things this way, you’ll save yourself the step of having to buy a gift card for Amazon or some other store. Instead, you can buy a Roblox card directly through one of these sites.

Examples of rewards sites offering Roblox gift cards include:

So if you’re on a site that offers rewards for surveys and the like, be sure to look for Roblox if that’s what you’re after.

Roblox Subscription

I did mention this above; if you subscribe to Roblox, you’ll get Robux at a discounted rate:

How to get free Robux - premium

Note that the three price points are the same for both one-time purchases as well as the subscription. In other words, you do get quite a bit more if you subscribe while paying the same price.

Again, it may not be free, but in a way, you are getting some extra Robux by subscribing. So I think it would be worth it, especially if you need Robux every month.

A Note About Robux Generators

If you search “how to get free Robux,” you will be inundated with tens of sites with “Robux generators.” These sites claim they can generate free Robux for you after you complete a survey.

In case it wasn’t obvious, these sites never work. One Quora explained why:

Of course, he’s right. Considering how easy it is to sniff these sites out, they would definitely get shut down in a heartbeat if they were legitimate.

So, don’t fall into this trap and don’t waste your time. The methods I covered above are the only legitimate ways to get free Robux to my knowledge.

Even if I missed something, you can rest assured that Robux generators are not one of them. These things don’t work and aren’t worth your time.

Final Word

As you can see, there aren’t a ton of ways to get free Robux. Perhaps that is one of the reasons that scam sites that promise free Robux, but don’t actually deliver, keep popping up.

Like most online games, services, and products, though, Roblox exists to bring in revenue. If you think about it, Robux wouldn’t even exist if that weren’t the case.

Thus, the ways to get free Robux is fairly limited. If you are sure to keep a budget and trim unnecessary expenses, you might have a few dollars extra each month.

That way, you can buy Robux directly. It isn’t that expensive and will make your life easier.

Whatever you do, just don’t fall victim to those nasty scams.
